Enjoy Luau Party Music
Whether on a Hawaii Vacation or Not!

Liven up your get-together with luau party music. Get everyone’s feet tapping with the much loved and widely known “Tiny Bubbles” from velvety-toned Don Ho from the album of the same name.

Or, play a blend of oldies but goodies, traditional mele or chanting, and ukulele or slack key guitar. For a more tribal beat, how about Drums of Bora Bora?

The Hawaiian music scene is filled with lots of new and exciting musicians.

For your listening pleasure (as they say), click on the artist's name, and you will be taken to Amazon.com where you will be able to listen to snippets of the album.

One of the more popular contemporary Hawaiian groups in the 1990s was the singing duo Hapa. An unlikely pairing, as Barry Flanagan came to Hawaii from New Jersey and Keli’i Kanealii grew up in Honolulu.

Their breakout album HAPA brought them local and international recognition.

They created a new enchanting and haunting sound with gorgeous melodies and wonderful slack key guitar arrangements. “Lei Pikake” is one of their most well-known compositions while Big Island resident Kenny Loggins provided back ground vocals in “Ku'u lei awapuhi”, a beautifully romantic ballad.

Any of the albums produced in their long and successful career would work for luau party music. If you need an idea, choose their Grammy-nominated album “Some Call It Aloha... Don’t Tell”

No Hawaiian-themed party is complete without luau party music by Braddah Iz - Facing Future

The hugely talented Hawaiian singer with the voice of an angel would sing and play his ukulele at his concerts and recordings.

At his untimely death at the age of 38, Iz had come up with several successful albums, all of which had a heart-tugging emotional quality. His recordings of “Over the Rainbow” and “What a Wonderful World” are both uplifting and memorable.

The Sons Of Hawaii is a much loved 1960s band formed by Kamae and the legendary singer and guitarist, Gabby Pahinui.

Many of their songs were based on long-forgotten melodies and lyrics, lending a deeply authentic feel to their music.

Good luau music for kids would include the sound tracks from the movie Lilo & Stitch and the Enchanted Room, both of which are Disney releases.

There is a tremendous choice and variety of luau party music. There are the old favorites, but the Hawaiian music scene is filled with so many exciting performers that it begs to be explored!
