About Us and...
Why another Site on Hawaii?

Aloha!

Ted and Barb Felber here with a bit about us and our website, where you will find fabulous places to visit and exciting, fun things to do in the glorious Hawaiian Islands.

Ted and Barb We hope that our site will give you some insight into and appreciation of Hawaii and Polynesian culture beyond anything you might learn from magazines, travel books, or even surfing the net.

We saw a need for many Hawaii vacations options to be easily found, compared and booked on one website. The time has come for a reliable online resource for booking activities here in the islands.

Our goal is to help find the vacation that is best for you. We want you to enjoy your Hawaiian experience so you will want to visit again!

Hawaii is and will always be close to our hearts...

Both Barb and I are children of US Army Officers who were assigned to Schofield Barracks in central Oahu in the late 1930s. I was in the second grade and Barb was in the first grade at the same school. We did not know each other nor did our families know each other, but here we are married some 50 plus years having the time of our lives!

I love this story so I thought I would share it with you.

Once, when we lived in Hawaii and my dad’s unit went on a bivouac, he took me along. The bivouac site was near a beach and my dad told me not to go swimming because of the rip currents. A corporal friend of mine invited me to go swimming so I went thinking it would be okay if I went with him. It wasn’t okay with my dad who put me on kitchen police (KP) as punishment. Every morning, the Charge of Quarters would wake me at 4:30 and hustle me off to the mess tent where I served coffee during breakfast and peeled potatoes afterwards. It was supposed to be punishment, but I thought it was fun!

It was during that time that I decided to be a soldier too. However, I’m not sure I would have made the same decision had I been made to wash the big pots and pans.

We hope our website is of value to you and that it helps make your visit to the Islands a truly memorable one.
